So you've seen this funny vid I posted before about how Trajan has become the default movie font for many. Well there are still a lot out there, but today I've looked over at Imp Awards for some posters that show great typography. Imp Awards is a treasure trove, I tell you. If I didn't have lots to do I would spend all day there. But anyway, here are some of my choices:
Okay, so this might be too late in the game since it's almost the beginning of the second quarter of the year. But. I think this calendar is pretty cool! Love the colors. And I think a lot of kids might like it. Oh well, hope there's a new one for next year!
Colourlovers did a very interesting research regarding the most used colors around the web, as well as the colors used by a lot of brands that are into social media et al. See the chart below:
Love these spring inspired prints! I'm sure they would make any room feel warmer and happier. Really love the technique used behind the illustrations, too.
If you ever had your fair share of clients from hell, then you would appreciate this vid. Aptly described as 'graphic designer comedy adventures', sometimes all you can really do is laugh at the absurdity of it all.
Found this really great discussion about art and design today. Sometimes one can be confused with the other, especially now with technology paving the way for almost anything. Because lots of tools are available, it's not impossible to really create something new out of your ideas. But is it art? Or is it design? Is it both or nothing at all?
Some interesting points I got from the post:

I don't know what it is about Conan O'Brien, but he has inspired a lot of graphic designers as of late. Whether it's print or typography, he seems to be a really good material for projects. His work life details, his humor and his speeches/words have found their way to the design world, I would say.
Anyway, here's another great poster I found by Fernando Suárez. I only wish that I could understand it:
March is almost over, so it's time for me to share my top selling designs of the month. Which one is your favorite?

These guys decided to see how much ink a typeface uses by drawing them using pens. Brilliant!
Words from the wise:
If you need a bit of inspiration this week, watch Massimo Vignelli. He offers so much wisdom and perspective. He really inspires me as a designer.
Design should never say, “Look at me.” It should always say, “Look at this.”
